Message from the President
I am the sixth-generation president of the company created by my great-great-great grandfather, Shozo Takamoto, in 1883. Much has happened against an ever-changing historical backdrop over the course of the past 140 years. I am humbled to be able to take over this company with the help of those around me. I also believe that it is my lifelong challenge to pass on brush making, this local industry, to the next generation. At the same time, I want to continue with pride as a Japanese brand that is presenting itself to the world and as a Japanese person. I will also strive to improve our environment, quality, and services. My first thought will always be our customers - how to contribute to society and how we can be useful and bring joy to them. We aim to be a company that cultivates its customer base. So, from the time we manufacture our products to the time they arrive in our customers' hands, to the after-market support we provide, we aim to have a consistent attitude in our manufacturing, diligently shared among all of our employees.
